how to make a dvd with two movies on it

Hi I want to be able to put two movies I own on to one dvd

I have ripped the dvd's using dvd decrypter

I have been told I need a ripper which will converter vob files to mpegs

I have been told of this one TPVr Converter can't seem to find it any where

does any one know a good converter which is freeware?

After that I have been told to use TMPGEnc Author to make the menus

does any one know a good freeware authoring program like dvd lab & TMPGEnc Author ?

then use dvdshrink to shrink it down to size to fit on dvd

I know how to do things just need the right tools and a little help that all.

If some can help that would great and I would really appreciate it.

Rip with both movie vobs and ifo file DvdDecrypter. Dvd2One 140 will join and shrink both movies and create one set of vob files. Then you can move to DvdAuthor to create your menus.

TMPGEnc DVD author I am pretty sure can import VOB's anyway. Could also use stream processing in DVD Decrypter to rip each movie to audio and video streams.

Much better quality ways to shrink that much than using DVDShrink though.
As for freeware authoring soft, I don't think anything comes close to DVDLab or TMPGEnc DVD author, at least not in terms of that advanced and easy to use a GUI.

yeah I know it can do that but when I add both the movies.

it goes over the total and won't let me save it to the format to be used in dvd shrink.

I would still like to know some freeware authoring software if it is cool

dvd2one only processes 30minutes of video in the trial version

ReJug offers limited free DVD authoring; subs and multiple audio streams. Just no menu and one title. It can also take your VOB, demux the audio and shrink the video.

So TMPGEnc DVDAuthor won't let you save out an oversize DVD?

yeah it won't tmpgenc dvd author won't save out because the project is too big

can you put down some other dvd author guis which have more features

than rejig

I am trying one from this site http://www.boraxsoft.de/

called gui for dvdauthor seems pretty good so far


what I want to do is be able to have stuff first before loading the menu

which will have the name of the dvd,buttons for each of the movies

and a button which will lead to a trivia page

then another menu with some trivia about the movies.

and of course have the two movies

Try DVDLab for the authoring, it to can import VOB files directly and I'm sure it can make DL 8gig files. It can also do the Menus for ya. Thgere is a free 30day trial availble at thier home site.

I just dropped 2 VIDEO_TS folders (2 different movies) into DVDShrink and they both appear almost ready to burn (awfully compressed though at 2G each). The size is a little big at 4636. You could try trimming some end credits/opening logos. I imagine you could save the output to a folder then run it thru Shrink one more time. Might not look too good.
