How To Insert New Subtitles In a DVD-R Movie

if you don't own the original dvd (which would have the appropriate subtitles, if available), there's not much we can do to help you, as it's against forum rules. if you do own the original:
1) if it has danish subtitles, just rerip the dvd.
2) if it doesn't have danish subtitles, there's not much you can do about it.

Grab some Danish subs on the various subtitle sites out there. These will most likely be text subs in the form of ssa or srt. You would then need to convert them to a format recognisable by your authoring app. Demux the audio and video streams from your current disc and author them along with your new subs.
Might want to test the sync before going to all that trouble though.

Denexo got it right but I found the soft by the name srt2sub its a freeware and you can get it here : http://www.shipleys.eclipse.co.uk/srt2sup.htm
be carefull with the overlaping subs and don't forget to choose the right format NTSC(29fps) or PAL(25fps)
you also need vobedit to demux the audio and video streams of the vob files and the ifoEdit to remux the video/audio and the new subs(in sup format) together, dont forget to change the subtitle colors in ifoedit once you remuxed everything to mach the color in srt2sup (this is really important, if you don't do this you won't see any subtitles)
