how to get a dvd jpeg file to a vcd

my problem is this, recently i had to go to a funeral for a family member and the funeral director had a memorial dvd-r made of my family member's pictures and i was able to borrow a copy of it and no one including me has a dvd-rw drive. i don't have a dvd player on my computer either. i want to make copys of it to give to family members on cd-r's, i guess in a vcd format. the dvd-r has 60 photos and music that plays also. okay here is what i have done so far. i borrowed a dvd drive on my cousins computer and went to my computer and clicked on explore the cd the only file on it said video_ts so i chose to copy that to a folder and then i burned that to a cd-r disc in data format. well when i got home i copied that to my hard drive and tried to use nero burning rom to burn it as a vcd it says it is in a unsupported format. what do i have to do to burn it to a vcd? i don't have a dvd player on my computer nor also a dvd-rw drive i don't know anyone that has one either. here is what what was in the file video_ts ------------

if anyone has any advice on what i have to do to get this onto a vcd i appreciate it thanks.

i also forgot to say this

i downloaded dvdxcopy express in the hopes i might be able to burn the vcd's if i needed dvd burning software.

I would simply play the DVD on my PC (using WinDVD or PowerDVD ) at at every picture I would hit the Camera Icon. This saves a BMP file to your HD. Once you have all the Picturues, run nero, select VCD and simply drag all the pictures in. Sort them to correct order, change the delay time from the default 5sec if you wish. Then burn. No music, but all the pictures will be there.

Yes absolutely, I forgot about that great little program.

Just load the VOB files into DVD2AVI and save project, the default seetting should save you out a WAV audio file, use that in Pro Show Gold.

which one would be the pictures files and which is the music file?

when you say vob file which one would that be because i don't see a vob file. thanks

Can you type here its EXACT file name plus extension. You did with all the other files, but not this one. I assume it to be vts_01_1.VOB
