How to extract the files from a svcd?

I need to add subtitles to a movie that has been sent to me in a svcd but I can`t get any software to recognize the mpg file thats in the cd. If I use my player for dvd it play well, so I guess it`s needed an extraction of the files or something like that so I can edit the movie in Premiere to add the titles.

Does anyone have an idea on this?

Also tryed to extract the file using vcdgear but didn`t worked.

As you found VCDGear doesnt handle MPEG2 files at all. Get a copy of Isobuster (_www.isobuster.com ) log onto MPG file on the CD, RIGHT click and then Extract but only M2F2 MPEG frames. Give a file name pointing to your HD, then Okay.

You will now have an MPEG2 (SVCD) mpeg on your HD ready to do what ever you want to do with it.
