I've got some avi and mpeg2 files, and wish to burn them on dvd+r, i've read chickenmans guide on how to convert divx to dvd+r but is that going to work for my avi and mpeg2 files? because i try to use SonicMYdvd and there is always errors during my efforts. I was wondering if there is anyother software that will allow me to burn these video files, retaining their quality if possible.

The Tutorial should work for all AVI's, however there are many faults in AVI's (for some darn reason 
) and these may need a bit more manual intervention to get them encoded. These problem AVIs will have problems with any converting software.
But if the AvI's are error free, the Tute works fantastic.
