I have:
sony dru 530A, xp (update) OS, using record now,
dump source material to hard drive, then record now to burn...
after burn, dvd plays fine in 530a, but won't play in most dvd players including Sony....
brought burned dvd that would not play in many dvd players and it played in my friend's pioneer and manavox..go figure...did the flashing with latest firmware...now what? tx Jay

Well I wouldn't (and I don't) use record now to record dvd's. Try the free way it works. In fact the new DVDShrink you can save your file as a ISO and burn it with DVD Decrypter or Nero. But if your going to use nero uninstall record now if you look around the forum you will find they don't play well together. But like I said try the free stuff. What the hell its free.:D

if the dvds play in any standalones at all, then they were probably burned correctly. to make sure your dvd players are capable of playing whatever media format you're using, try searching for them here.
