I'm thinking about selling my machine, how much do you guys think my machine is worth?

very nice config ... especially the scsi hdd ;) I like SCSI ... but it´s soooo expansive...

well for one I would switch the P4 1.7 Ghz for either a P4 1.9 or above (with newer core as it overclocks very well) or switch to Athlon XP 1800 & above (as SSE2 instructions aren't even used by 5% of software out there yet). Also the western digital HDD wouldn't be my first choice, nor the 3COM modem.
Not to say the machine isn't good, but trying to get back to what he really wanted to know:What we think the machine is worth.
hmmmmmm, I would say about $2,500 USD (if you know where to buy) or upto $3,400 USD (if you don't know where to buy) lol.
But if you were to sell it second hand, then depending how long you had it for (& what is left on warranty), plus depending on the brand of the aluminun case (like Lion-Li or coolermaster) & RAM (being that P4 chips function better on RAMBUS, but not a huge difference anymore *with latest DDR), then probs you sell from $2,000 USD - $2,800 USD.
(this is without a monitor, as I don't notice any).

this would be in my region of the world, though in the US you can probs get just as many good deals.

Actually you pc - can be sold for quite a bit - considering you got a GF4 in there (pity its not a 4600 - else i might consider it - heh) as well as a not so old P4, and loadsa memory, and huge hard disk.

Though - unless - you live in the uk - i cant really give you a figure to go on, cos i dont know the market prices for any other country to be able to give a good price judgement:(
