Hi there,
First, I must apologise if this is not the correct section for this thread. I just couldnt find any other to be clearly more appropriate...
And now to my Issue :
Nero 6.0.0.15 recognises my cdr medias as containing 702 mb.
How much data MB can I truly burn on to them ?
(I have been trying 700mb files and nero gives a ` not enough space on cdr` anouncement.
Thanks in advance for replyers

Thanks for replying LTR12101B
I`ve done as you suggested and installed the 6.0.0.19 nero and indeed it did not respond to an attempt to burn a 696 Mb data file on a 702 MB cdr with a "not enough space on media" anouncment, and I thank you for that, yet my problem still isn`t solved:
If I attempt to burn the above said 696 MB compilation with a `no multisession`+`disc at once` setting, the burning simply fails (I get the failure message in the end of the process) and If I try to set the burn for a `start multisession` it immidiately claims `there is not enough space for the compilation unless it is finalised` and asks me for authorization to finalise. If I allow it to do so then at the end of the process, NERO declairs the burn : succesfull (but only after a very long delay) yet still the CD is not readable and not even recogniseable by any player.
Any ideas ?

Might have been better off with the patch to 6.0.0.15 - if you still have that version, deinstall 6.0.0.19, then Install 6.0.0.15 and apply the patch.

I've only seen the DAO problem reported for audio, but it could be more widespread .... I have a valid Nero 6 licence (bought and traded up a discounted Retail 5.5) but I'm still holding at 5.5.10.42 - and beginning to wonder why I bothered with the plan to upgrade.

Nero 6 is a beta released on an unsuspecting public - at least 5.5 had some good stability between the occasional breakages.

Maybe the NEXT minor point in V6 will be a passably good one - I had a few shockers in 5.5.9.x - though I believe some were only Win9x breakages, and then stayed with a good one of those while laughing at the further (Win9x) foulups in the 5.5.10 series - only jumping to 5.5.10.42 when it was clear it was an exceptionally stable point.

Hi LTR12101B,
Tried nero 6.0.0.15 + overburn patch and it`s the same frustration. Before upgrading to nero 6 I used 5.5 though I admit I do not remember the exact version number.
I use an old burner: HP 8100+ that has only X4 speed. I`ve been working it very hard and it has always been nothing less than stable and reliable, but perhaps it`s low speed has to do with my problem ?
I am stuck.
