I still have a Pentium 100, bought back in 1994, running like a "champ"...
Same applies for a PentiumIII/800, bought back in 1999, which was running overclocked to 1050 Mhz for more than 2 years.
The only toast CPU I've had was an AMD Athlon 1.3G.
All my current machines (PIV/3Ghz HT, PIV/2.8Ghz HT, PIV/1.8 Ghz no HT, Pentium M 2Ghz) run close to 24/7 with no issues at all.

Until obsolete, retired for something better, or accidentally destroyed.

Theoretically, overclocking, especially if at raised voltage, increases electromigration and other effects to the point where they can reduce the lifespan, but other than a few claims where excessively pushed overclocked CPUs just don't seem to take the same treatment any more, it seems the CPU either lives or dies, or perhaps sustains damage that is only apparent under certain conditions.

I've seen quite a few systems, and I can't recall any where a CPU has simply "worn out".
