Yeah, but a rounders ball does not travel at more than 100 mph!

What's "lots of" protective gear? Player's have a cup to protect his family jewels. The batter will also have a helmet. The catcher...yes, he is well protected. But if a ball came at me at more than 100 mph, I would want all sorts of protection!
