How do you use MIRC or Irc?

I was wondering how to these products to download files. I only know how to login. Thamk you for your help.

A good place to start would be http://www.mirc.com/irc.html , at the bottom of that same page u can find links to other IRC info sites.

After that it's just a matter of finding the right channels to get all those goodies

By the way most channels (and IRC in general) have rules (just like this board) try to find out about those aswell, or your IRC adventure will be a very short one

from my experience, if u want to download mp3, warez, or porn , efnet and dalnet have the most stuff on there....

if u know the networks name but dont know the server, the standard command to get on is

/server irc.dalnet.net
or
/server irc.fnet.net
, etc...

Using mIRC (Efnet is a good place) you get the places where to download software, games, etc.
You also need a FTP client to download.
For games in Efnet a good chatroom is #pureiso, you can ask for some prog or game or just wait to the message of the ftp servers.
