What do you mean in the Step2-2 DivX " if its in 2 parts, need to join them..." ?
After I install the DivX. it come up with 2 icon. First is DivX Player , second is DIvX movies. Is that what are 2 parts you mention about?   THX

Read it carfully, I'm talking about the AVI file coming in 2 parts, like Movie1.avi and Movie2.avi.

Once DivX codec has been installed, just forget about it, it just sits in the background and the other programs just use it as required.

Hi,
My movie is an XViD with AC3 5ch. Can I convert this movie to DVD+RW? If not please forget the rest. If Yes please following up the problem that I run into.

I used your directtion and ran in to this message
"CCe encoding failed: error video checksum is differnt from that previous pass.
current chksum=006ad188
previous chksum=0069c18f

would you please explain to me what kind of problem that I'm facing to?
Thanks    :(

Most probably you can convert it, I've seen literally 100's of avis and yet to find on that cant be converted.

Your problem is that CCE needs a CRC Patch. Its posted here somewhere, just use the search button to find it.

Hi,
Thank you Mr.ChickenMan. I got another question is where can I find the bbMPEG_video_01.mpg?   The rest of hte file I got it. Thanks again. :D

It should be in the Default Output Folder set in the Misc tab of DVD2SVCD. If the audio was not extracted correctly (this sometimes happens) then there is no *.mp2 audio for bbMPEG to mux to video, therefore no *.MPG file. If this is the case (no Extracted_audio_1.mpa file) then use VirtualDUB to extract the audio stream and manually convert it and name it as Encoded_audio_1.mp2 then use the Recover button in the Misc tab in DVD2SVCD and start at the Muxing & Authoring stage.

if I has Extraced_audio_1ac3 file, What is the next step? and how do I chk that file is working? Thanks

If you have an AC3 codec installed ( such as AC3Filter - http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/ ) then Windows Media Player or just about any other audio playing software will play it back for you.

So you have an Extracted_audio_1.ac3 file, you should also have a large *.mpv file, then just author these 2 as per the Tute.

Hi
after 2 days 've been trying to make this work now I'm totally lost!!!!.
1- How many files I suppose to have at my default folder? ( you said about 20 to 30+ files after do convertion). I got only 16 files and the Avi2DVD screen at LOG are stuck, have to reset the wholle system. The last message on my Avidvd screen at LOG is
" Executing Pulldown.Commandline
with the message " " C:\ Program file\ DVD2SVCD..... C:\ Program....."

Would you please explain to me why?
When I use Authoring with TMPGENnc DVD Author.... it go oK but when to chk the srceen it it give me the message
"Avisynth caught an Access violation at 0x11ab.... no picture at all.
Please help. Thanks

"Avisynth caught an Access violation at 0x11ab.... no picture at all." is normally due to having older Xvid codec.. Get the latest from http://roeder.goe.net/~koepi/xvid.shtml and un-install the ones you have foirst before installing.

"( you said about 20 to 30+ files after do convertion). I got only 16 files", well 16 isnt that far short of 20 and the process hasnt finished yet as your sytem had froze.

Freezing is normally a system problem. Is it overclocked? Is the memory overclocked or pushed to its limits? Is your fan keeping the CPU at <60oC ? etc, etc , etc

Also, try installing DVD2SVCD again.
