How do I DeCSS or any type of encryption on MY DVDS ?

I would like when I loan out my home made DVDS no one ( AVERAGE HOME USER ) can just COPY and BURN it for themself without at least having to use DECRYPTION software

How can I copy protect from the average Joe/Jane when I author/create my DVDs ?

what software do I need ?
where do I get it from ?

Thanks in advance.

with the event of modern tools such as ALCOHOL 120% DVD DECRYPTER and others its pretty much pointless trying to protect dvds or in fact any cds as any protection out there is easily bypassed :(

the only TRUE way round this is to not lend them out in the 1st place unfortunatley :(

If you want to use CSS in your DVD's then you need an authoring drive not a regular general use one. You also need authoring media.

Neither authoring drives nor media are cheap and I believe that they are still only 1X.

If you author your DVD's with DVD Maestro and you have an old Pioneer A03 (or any other old burner that it supporst), then there is some simple copy prevention facilities available that you can apply. But anyone that knows how to use DVD DEcrypter will have no problems in copying them. Hollwood has not been able to stopping copying, I really doupt you will be able to as well.

Best advice is from Viper, simply dont lend them and besides, thats a breach of copyright anyway.
