How do I combine 3 avi files to make one?

ChickenMan I hope you are listening!
I have 3 avi files and I need to combine them into 1 file. I've tried using a joiner program but the sound is all messed up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

TIA

This can be easily done with VirtualDub. Just open the first avi. Then use "Append AVI" in the file menu to add the next two part. Go to the Audio and Video menus and choose "Direct Stream Copy". Finally, choose "Save AVI" from the File Menu. This should simply concat all of the files.

If the audio is messed up at this point, it means there is an issue with the original files. Might be fixable, but try this first to see if it works for you.

I have found EASY VIDEO JOINER to be very simple, quick and accurate, so far. It is well worth a try. You should be able to get a 30 days trial.

Problems can arise when the audio streams of the parts are either longer or shorter than the video stream.

For instance you could have

VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
and
VVVVVVVVVVVVVV
AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
which when combined gives
VVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVVV
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Which is obviously not in sync, however both parts would play perfectly on their own.

Are you planning on converting the file or do you actually want it as a single AVI?
