How can I fix/repair the AC3 Audio?

My TMPGenc DVD Author does not regconize my AC3 file. Would somebody please help me to solve this problem?. I want to replace the mp2 file with the ac3 file which I demux already but the TMPGEnc author give me this message" Illegal audio format.....Dolby digital(AC-3)....."

BeSplice with BeSplit (both from doom9.net download section) is very quick and simple to fix AC3 audio files. Just drag the ac3 into the BeSplit picture and select Fix.

why after the Besplice fix my AC3 file, the file become smaller?..My original AC3 file is 222MB but after fix it only has 55.8MB. Thanks

It must have been in a bad state for that to occur. Basically it stopped at the error. Another solution is to try and convert it to a WAV file, then convert back to AC3 but will be Stereo only. You can use the very latest BeSweet for both those operations.

Use BeSweet GUI, run it, set output to WAV, then load in the AC3. Hit AC3 to WAV button.
