How 2 Read Direct CD when Nero Installed

Have Nero installed & no problems with CD-R burning
I have a few cd-rw written by Direct CD. Nero InCD can't read them.
I gather Nero & Easy CD (including Direct CD, I assume) do not get along.
Is there a way to read these CD-rw (even if it is a 1-timer) to recover the data?
Would Direct CD coexist (without installing Easy CD) with Nero?
Would ne other packet writer co-exist with Nero & be able to read Direct CD?
NE other suggestions really appreciated
TIA

direct cd

from what i understand, as a general rule only one packet writer software at a time--they all do they same thing more or less and don't get along well with each other

i dont know exactly if it will do it or not-just got it today
try isobuster-UDF 2.01 (so also UDF 1.02) and UDF 1.5 (e.g. packet writing on CD-R and CD-RW) (from the website)

you may have trouble-as soon as the disk drive closes roxio will want to install the udf reader--turn off auto insert notification and autoplay for that drive (that may help)

please post results

yes i agree but sometimes data that younger ones are not suppose to see and that is left on the harddrive will be found when you least expect it--i like to off load such data to a cdrw so that it may be placed out of reach and no "accidents" occur

that is how i use to do it-necessity dictated a change
also since the families have all come into the 21st century and all now computerized and files are much bigger than 1.44mb-it has come in handy when somebody needs something on their machine...especially when it is too big for a floppy but kind of a waste to only put 50 - 60 mb on a cd-r
But, there is a price for conveience--the occasional coaster...much more frequently in ezcd creator than others

I had the same prob, but its fixed now. Here is my history:

-installed ESCD creator 4.05 and Direct CD 3.05
-formatted some CDR/RW with Direct CD 3.05
-remove ESCD 4.05 then installed ESCD platinum 5.02b
-as I had some bugs with ESCD Platinum, its uninstalled (also Direct CD 5) and replaced by Nero 5564
-nero firstly didnt regconize my CDR/RW formatted with Direct CD
-then I installed InCD UDFReader 1.04
-the prob was fixed

So go to nero homepage then get the InCD UDFReader 1.04. It'll fix ur bug
