A friend of mine is using it on his XP box and it did not cause any problems. However, this new standard is not yet supported by that many manufacturers... so you will be hard pressed to find that many CD, DVD, etc. players that can play them.
It seems like an interesting standard between computer, home players, portables, and car audio. But will it be accepted by the general public? ... only time will tell.
