Hi Friend's..

I'm Back You Guy's Know Why Cuz This Forum Is Most Helpfull. So I Hope To Get What I Want To Know....

Ok..

I Have A Motherboard ASUS A7V8X.
I've Upgraded The Bios 1015 Beta 2.
Placed The Athlon XP 3200+ 400 FSB

I Have 3 Memory Bank's :-
In Memory Bank Slot I Placed 512MB DDR 400 (PC3200)
In Memory Bank Slot 2 Placed 512MB DDR 400 (PC3200)
In Memory Bank Slot 3 (EMPTY)

The Motherboard Manual Say's On PC3200 In 2 Bank's Only.. It Also Mension's It On There Website.. When I Download The Online Manual For My Motherboad From ASUS Site's It Say's Only One..

The Problem Is The Once The Bios Is Set... It Recognises The CPU & MEMORY.
I Save The Bios Setting Everything Runs Smooth.. Once I Shutdown XP And Turn On The Pc It's Showing Anything On The Screen...

If I Turn The Power Off Imidiatley And Then Turn On It's Taken Me Back To BIOS..

What's Happening.. HELP....!! If More Info Required I Will Post...

Regard's..

After replacing my xp2200 with a xp3000(333) i had the same problem with my gigabyte board. When i started the computer the board was beeping and the beep code said that i am using a bad ram stick.

I increased the voltage (+0,2V) for the ram and all was fine again.

Maybe your asus mobo has a similar feature.

Ok..

How Would I Know What Volt Is The Ram Pieces Are...
Like You Said The Board Was Beeping Well Mine Dosent Beep..

The Screen Remains Blank. If I Turn It Off And Back On Takes Me Straight To The Bios..

How Ever It Shows The CPU Speed On The Bios...

So Its Not The It Cant Accept The Cpu..

Help Please

Put your ram sticks in slots 1 and 3 or 2 and 3,instead of 1 and 2.......if this not works, try with 1 stick..or use memtest86 to find out if 1 went bad..

Hmm...

Tried That But No Such Luck At All...

When I Have Inserted My 3200+ XP Chip Gives An Option To Slect 2200mhz.
When I Place My Old 3000+ Chip I Can Select Option Up To 2600mhz.. Wierd..

Anyway What Next.. Did'nt Work..
