You may also want to try this. It blocks many type of malicious downloads (dialers, browser hijackers etc) and prevents them from running even if they're already on your system.

Another program I am seeing on a lot of computers is MyWay.It is a search engine that downloads itself into your toolbar.Only good thing is it can be removed with it's uninstaller (if it's working) from add/remove programs.
Too bad the powers that be won't do anything about this crap that installs itself without your consent
Well I agree with you it is annoying and usually I would say call them (which I've done before) and tell then how you feel but being that I'm in the USA I for one wouldn't wast the money on calling russia. I would hate to find out how much that call would cost just to speak my mind.jonss said:The bit that puzzles me is what possible use it would be to hijack a homepage. Unless you still have the modem connected - because you never disconnected it, because you use it for fax, or because you leave it connected so you can keep old accounts live by dialling up at whatever interval required.VIPER_1069 said:most of the time its FORCED adverts that pay whomever is hijacking usually cracking groups who make them etc
fortunatly with the SURGE of broadband the problem with diallers is practically eliminated as they do not work with the connections that broadband uses
