Help with nero

How do keep a quality conversion from avi to mpeg? becasue after the conversion nero always has to encode it is there a way i can endoe it without losing the quality?

i knwo that but when i encoded the avi to mpeg1 nero always syas it has to encode it so how do i make it os nero doesn thave to do it?

If you converted your AVI following the turorial, then Nero will NOT want to re-encode it, it will just accept it and burn to a VCD for you. If Nero will not accept the mpg file as a standard compliant VCD file, then you have missed something in the Tutorial.

An AVI at 480x480, nar never. If you did load in TMPGEnc a VCD Template (PAL, NTSC or FILM) then you will ALWAYS get a compliant VCD. If you did not, then you have not followed the tutorial. It is as simple as that, sorry.

Are you trying to convert to VCD or SVCD from the AVI? You have not quoted this.

it dont matter it works but i do have a question everytime i get a divx avi i convert it to mpg 1 with tmpengc and its really blurry on tv an i fix this in anyway?

A VCD will never be the same quality as a DivX and will always be more blurry. To retain as much quality as possible, I would suggest you convert them to SVCD (MPEG2) instead. Encoding time will be longer and your DVD Player may not play them, but they will retain as much pic quality as possible.
