Help with MusicMatch latest version

Hi.

I have a serious concern with MusicMatch software.
Since I installed it and everytime I am using it, my screen freeze and my harddrives are running as crazy!
It looks like MusicMatch is looking at all my files. Then after few seconds music comes back and everything is back to normal.

Did you experience the same concern ?

Cheers

Musicmatch or hug that resource!

Musicmatch takes a lot of the resources (like 20% or more depending on your computer). If your harddrives are very full (best to have 750mb free in each partition), or your computer is not as fast, this can happen. Or it simply conflict with other (audio)software, wich is running in the background. So if you use it for listening only, try another, like zinf w*w.zinf.org/download.php for example. Musicmatch is a nice prog, but if only.... sigh!

Sirok,

Thx for the reply but I do not think this is coming from resources reason.
I got 2Ghz, 1Go DDR, 120Go and 80Go hard drive ATA100 7200 RPM. No partition on the drives.
No other music progs are running in the background. I use MM to tag all my MP3. Very useful indeed.
I do not experience this pb with MJB or WMP.

Pokopiko,
This kind of anwser will not solve my concern. Thanks, but keep it for yourself.

It could be that when you're firing up MM that Windows is making room for it in memory by dumping part of it's current memory contents onto a swapfile (I know you have a lot of RAM but that reason in itself doesn't meant Windows is going to use all of it).

Maybe the computers needs a good defrag as well?

Slowing with Musicmatch,

884125,

Well, nice setup you have there! Maybe it is a good idea to partion such a big harddrive in to a few smaller one's. The advantage is that if you save your files into a diferent partition you never lose them by a crash, furthermore if you have such a amount of data with your system-files, it can slow down your comp.

I used musicmatch for tagging once. But when i discoverd "Tag & Rename" i used musicmatch nomore. tag and rename is much better. Look here for the info and/or download a evaluation version. w*w.softpointer.com/tr.htm
