Help With M2-edit

I have 3 mpg files ready to burn to VCD but on the first one, just as it finishes, a character in the movie starts to speak which I would like to remove. I know I can simply do this with TMPGENC but I have got M2-EDIT and it's supposed to be a top of the range editing program... how can i edit the end of my first mpg to remove the frame where the talking begins? Daveml, perhaps you can help with this one as I know u use the program.... thanks.

Goto file open mpeg.
Once its loaded click "goto clip end" (you can see what each button does by passing the cursor on to it.)
In the right hand box click the left arrow to go back 1 frame at a time.
When you have found the right place click the up arrow "set clip end to current"
Click file ,select trim, select output as vcd, choose file name and save.
I dont actually use this program for editing so I dont know if you need to transcode after trimming.
One way to find out is to do it. If the two file sizes are identical then you didnt need to!
To move frame by frame in tmpgenc just at a .xx after the seconds.
Hope this helps.
I just did a quick test edit with m2edit and it worked fine.

Good morning Dave ! Well done, I've realy got nothing more to say than what you already have. I also use TMPGEnc for ALL my cutting (occasionally MPEG2VCR).

vcd_pat, not sure who has told you M2Edit is the best at Editing an mpeg but they obviously havent used TMPGEnc properly. Also all editors will cut at the nearest Audio/Video sync point and not on the exact frame you want.
