Help with AVI2DVD Please!!

I have downloaded a 3 avi movie, joined them with VirtualDub and then split it into 2 with VirtualDub so I can make a 2 disk DVDr using CM's tut.
The problem I am having is that the AVI2DVD process stops after the encoding has finished and does not go onto the bbmpeg and pulldown phases.
I have tried the process twice and AVI2DVD stops at the same spot.
Any idea's why this is happening as I have made a number of DVDr's with CM's tut with no problems at all.
I ran pulldown.exe on the encoded mpv file and got a "pulldown.m2v" file which I processed with TMPGEnc DVD Author according to the tut.
The end result plays ok in DVD X Player Pro. I would like to know, before I do the second disk, am I losing anything in quality etc, and is it ok to burn the end result.
Thanks

All pulldown does is change some flags though, it does not re-encode if that is what you meant?

Re-encoding with CCE will definatly result in quality loss though whether you can see it or not.

Thanks for the replys, what I was after is, as the full AVI2DVD process did not fully complete, and that I ran "pulldown.exe" manually, is the end result the same as if AVI2DVD had completed correctly.
Thanks

Absolutely, the end result will be identical. As C_D said, the Pulldown just changes a few flag within, no quality gain or loss. As long as the encoding process completed and produced a complete *.mpv file, then ypou have no problems.

Personally I encoded all 3 AVI's (I think I know the ones your referring to) to fit to one DVDR (and without joining them), just turn the number of passes CCE does up to 3, and it will come out fantastic. It also helps that its a wide screen 2.3:1.
