help with avi to svcd converting....

im trying to convert a xvid/divx avi file into a svcd....i followed the steps that chickenman put up....i did everything the way the steps told me to do....i couldnt tick this box Convert divx3 to divx4 ( can resolve CCE problem)....and what should i put the audio birate at....on step 9 it said to Click on Sharpen and enter its value as 0.4 so i changed it to this....

0=BicubicResize(^TargetWidth,^TargetHeight,^b_value,^c_value)
1=AddBorders(0,^BorderTop,0,^BorderBottom)
^b_value=0.4
^c_value=0.4

is that right??....also it said to select the MPEG2DEC2.dll and i load the avi file again it said these are not avisynth 2.5 plugins....so i went back and used the MPEG2Dec3.dll after that then i go to conversion and try to start to convert it....but it wont let me its still in "gray" so i cant even click on it....what is my problem??..i also have tmpgenc too....so if i cant do it this way....can i do it with tmpgenc??..im thinking converting avi to svcd is the same thing as the other tutor avi,mpg,asf, etc to mpg....so i follow those steps but just use svcd??..is that correct??..
if not plz let me know what i need to do....

I did same tutorial few times..i had also greyed-out that button to convert divx.....so i just avoided out.........and it worked..still......about audio bitrate........depends what you want..and what kind of quality source you got......also..if you want a compliant s-vcd or not..depends on you...if i had a good quality avi.......i was putting 128btr...........depends on you really.......about the rest...dont have an idea..sorry..

I prefer LanczosResize, at least for the main movie. Credits is a different story. Different resizes for fast and slow motion can also help quality.

You shouldn't need to load mpeg2dec3 or mpeg2dec2, if either is in the AVISynth plugin directory, then it will be autoloaded. The latest version of MPEG2Dec is MPEG2Dec3 v1.10.

The DivX3 to 4 box as I understand it is only available if DivX3 is actually installed. Not sure but I guess it just changes the fourCC of the file to make sure that the DivX3 decoder is not used as it has a bug where it always serves the video up as RGB24 even though it is internally YV12,
