HELP!!Virus maybe?

Well need again your useful help.A putter at work has a problem it stucks all the time without doing anything and when I try to scan it with NAV it stucks again.Searched for BugBear but found nothing.Now I'm trying to scan it from another putter on the local network.Has anyone heard of a new virus that causes this?It stucks form safe mode too when I open NAV..
Please help!!I don't want to format it again and back-up...

Thanx man.Well now i've successfully uninstalled Norton Systemworks 2003 and installed AVX(Professional 6.1.2) & let it run the scan.
I will install Norton again after the scan.What Antivirus do U use or can suggest.?AVX is a bit old but it works so far...

I use AVG i think ya made a typo there bud

and very good it is too for a freeware program with free updates

Well now fixed it..It wasn't a virus..!!!!A RAM-Memory was defected!!
Funny uh?
Gonna replace it
