Hi All,
Here's the full story: I had trouble with Rundll32 on Windows 98 SE, so upgraded to Windows Millenium ME------now i can't access my secondary hard drive: it's 30 gb & i've had it installed for nearly a year with no problems----although i had to upgrade the bios when it was first installed.---it was partitioned etc & has worked perfectly!
I've now gone back to Windows 98 & the drive shows up in Device Manager but has no assigned drive letter, although it's normal one (D) is not used by anything else.
In the BIOS menu it says there is no secondary hard drive installed!! & i can't set it to Autodetect---------i've tried unplugging /replugging the drives & removing it from device manager menu, and countless re-boots/'start -up disks etc but nothing works!
Is the drive dead? or is there a way to make the drive be recognised by the system?----------i've got a lot of stuff on the drive & it seems it just needs to be detected by the system in some way!
all help /advice greatly appreciated,
thanks,
Miger
