Hi Enforcer, Welcome to our forum!

What is the resulted output file(s) from "video edit magix 3"?
as freeware solution for shrinking i would recommend DVD Shrink
and as usually, have a look at our tutorials: http://www.dvdrbase.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&f=117&page=1&pp=25&sort=lastpost&order=desc&daysprune=-1

use GSPOT codecs tool to see if that can tell what file type the resulting file is :)

is the resulting file one file of 9.67 gb or is it several vob files to make a dvd with in audio_ts and video_ts folders ?!

so do you think it could be easy cd 6 then causing the out of sink problems then?????? any ideas with a tried and tested software then??
this is the format of the file:
Media format AVi
Video Bitrate 28800000
Frame rate 25.000000 fps
Total frames 71942
media size 720x576
Aspec ratio vga
Audio rate 138128640
audio channel 2
audio compression 5063489
audio bitrate 1536000
hope this means something to someone.?
what puzzels me is how easy cd only made the video 1.7gb
and encoded it to a standard dvd+r

is that your output file type from video edit magic ?! AVI !?

9gb is still a pretty big file for an avi

when you make the file with video edit magic what choices does it give to save as what are the file type options :)

edit : you can save out as mpeg 2 with edit magic maby try that as mpeg 2 can give pretty reasonable quality output when put to dvd :)
