hi there,
i have 2 questions if anyone can help.
first, i have just tried to convert a quicktime file to mpeg2 and it started to do it o.k. but for an 800meg file it is telling me it will take about 44 hours.
is this normal time for a file that size?
secondly is it possible to burn cue files to dvd?
nero6 keeps telling me i need a cd-r/rw but the file is too big for a cd
can anybody offer suggestions
sorry if this is posted in the wrong place.
cheers.
cs
ps this is using TMPGEnc with the q thing plugin.

You either have a slow pc or slow encoder. Why you dont use cce??Neverones can accept avi and quick time files and encode it to compliant mpeg2 :)

Problem with CCE is that you need to feed it the correct resolution. So 720x576/480 if you are encoding a DVD.

Now generally you would resize your source with AVISynth on the fly as you are encoding. You can still do this with quicktime either by using the same VFAPI plugin which could also make it just as slow (has worked much faster for me in the past) or depending on the codecs used directshowsource().
