help please with tmpgenc xpress 3

hi,

I am trying to convert from a dvd (ts_video) file to vcd using tmpgenc xpress 3 but unfortunately I get an mpeg1 with no sound with a file size that ulead dvd workshop 1.2 cannot burn it on 700 mb cdr !

this is starnge because my converted mpeg1 size was only 658 mb with a cbr at 630 kbps and ulead need 970 mb free disc space to burn it as a vcd.

please, can you tell me what are the correct setting s for vcd ?

do I need mp3 codec ????

dvd file on hd : duration of the movie 1.53.19.40
mp3 sound at 64 kbps
vcd output with a max size of 690 mb to be burned with ulead dvd workshop 1.2

any tutorial will be of a great help to me.

VCD requires a bitrate of 1150, I guess Ulead is wanting to re-encode.
About the audio, DVD's generally use AC3 audio, but what is this about 64k mp3? DVD's definatly don't use mp3.
