Help On Car Stereo To Play Mp3 Can It?

was wondering if a car stereo is advertised as being able to play
cdr-rw discs [it is a cd player] can it play mp3's.it dosent say it can
or it cant just that it can play cd-r's
anyinfo would be great

If you don't wanna use a portable MP3 player, like the Rio, in conjunction with an auxiliary input on your head unit then you have to take a look @ Kenwood eXcelon Z828 CD-MP3 Car Receiver:

Had seen it in a magazine some 5 months ago and could not remember its model but only the fact it was a Kenwood. Did a little search and voila...

Yep, quite a few of the new Sony in-car range play mp3's and they are not that expensive either. But make sure like *ChRiS said that they specificly say it is a model that plays them.

it you have an mp3 player one of those portable cd to cassette interfaces (about £30) works fine as it only takes the audio from the earphone socket on the mp3 player and sends it to the stereos cassette deck.
