Can anyone plz help me with how to burn mutiple DVD quality movies to one DVDR disk, I know this is possible because one of my friends, Dads workmate, has heapz of Multiple Movie DVDs, and they are all truely 100% DVD quality on every movie, I have only seen a few of the movies, and I was complelty amazed that everything was completly DVD quality considering there was from 3-5 movies on one 4.7 GB disk. Now I really want to know how this is possible, if anyone can help me I would much appreciate it

Sorry, but there is absolutely NO way you can get 5 full length movies on 1 dvd in original DVD quality. Your lucky to get 1. They look GOOD (a lot depends on your playback equipment) but they are simply not of the original dvd quality.

Those that I have seen with 4 or more movies on 1 dvd tend to be either VCD or SVCD authored to a DVDR. Some have been re-encoded to 1/2 D1. I tend to put 2 avi conversions onto 1 dvdr, any more and it would to crappy for me to watch. Now I just copy 6 raw AVI files to a DVDR and let my DVD & AVI Player play them without any re-encoding.

But I have seen this with my own eyes, I currently have a DVD here with 3 full length movies on it, and they are all defiantley very close to DVD if not DVD quality movies on one disk, so I know that this is possible, I have checked the DVDR disk he used, it is a 4.7 GB disk. Is there anyone that can plz help me.

Seen plenty of people (not me) call 640x272 DivX/XviD encoded files DVD quality.

I agree with ChickenMan. No way.

You can however easily check things like what res the movies are, what audio format, average bitrates, quantisers, etc.

That all said there really is no great mystery to it all. If you want 3 movies on a DVD, then simply each movie must be 1/3rd the size of the DVD or any other fraction where they all add up to one.

Its a matter of perception but believe me 3 on 1 is not as good as 1 by itself

The way to tell is play both side by side on the same TV's & standalone DVD player's <> the 1 will be better

That said the encoding S/ware has improved somewhat so 3 on 1 is well watchable but nowhere in the same league.
