Help ME!!! Windows Media Player doesn't work with MPEG and AVI Files!!

I use Win ME and some days ago I discoverd that my WMP when I try to load an MPG ora AVI file give the message "media changing" and remain so a long after that is blocked.
I already try to install again and again but nothing to do.
I think that could be some codecs that conflict with WMP, but I don't know how to check and remove the codecs registerd on my machine.
Also Power DVD and WinDVD does not work anymore!!!!!!!

Sounds like a display problem. What about your graphics card/drivers are they ok? And games too?

Try looking in the Control Panel, multimedia/sound for the installed CODECs. Uninstall the last program that installed any MPG or other video codecs....
