I don´t agree with that statement, Asus P4C800-E Deluxe supports right out of the box Prescott cpus unless you had one previous to the announcement of Prescott then the only thing needed to support it is a BIOS flash, P4C800 has all the features of P4S800D but comes with Intel chipset wich sometimes can be more reliable than any other when using Pentiums and if you pick the right model you´ll have Gigabit support righ in the chipset and not in an added chip that runs trough a pci bus.scarecrow said:...and up to date it's the only mobo (chipset) which can take the new breed of Intel CPU's (Pentium V or "Prescott") right out of the box with no modding at all. Intel's flagship (read: expensive) 875i chipset doesn't support Pentium V, and likely it never will.
This is the question of every pc user, answers change from one user to another, I personally always have used Intel even at times when had to admit that AMD had a better proc. right now you can get almost equal performance from any of them it is just a question of how much you want to spend: Intel PIV Extreme Edition seems to be above all but at that price I wouldn´t buy it, with the difference for a 2.8Ghz you´ll be able to buy a whole gig in Ram and still have enough cash for a good 3D card.mojo8850 said:Ok.. so far i'm confused.
Which manufacture is the best INTEL or AMD.
Yes thats true but if you would like to know as stated by yourself "So What does the P4C800 have that the P4S800D dont have." You can do this by going to their homepage and you can see for yourself the full info on the mobo...We all try to help each other best we can and theres mi thinking I'm helping you out.....mojo8850 said:I know that but it's always best to get advise before purchasing
