help frustrated

Just got a msi comby and tried to burn a backup of a dvd movie.
I can convert it ok and burn, but i would like to burn it in its original vob format,
My nero 6 does the simulation fine but then errors at burn with 'cannot lead out' any help guys would be apreciated.
I am using good quality media, and i have the burner set as master on raid 1.
ASPI checks out ok and there is no buffer underun. I am using xp pro . After an attempt my nero will not read the media.

just a quick update guys...
weared!!!! Checked the disk i burned, it reads as empty, explore it-empty, put it in dvd.....full film??????? yet nero said it failed....ok now totaly confused
