Hello,

I just registred with dvdr base. I have been doing audio restoration and analog-digital transfers for a few years and I am trying to jump into the video realm.

I am a 26 yo. music freak from Illinois. I spend most of my time recording music and I have a small business where I do vinyl restoration, duplication, compilations, picture cd's etc. I am forced to work at home for the time being as I was paralyzed in an auto accident at 22. The PC has been a real savior for me and has allowed me to stay busy.

I am sure most of you are established in audio and video but if you have any quetions about music, in-home recording, restoration, software suggestions,
or even life using a wheelchair - please feel free.

I'd be interested to see a workthough of a typical (mild) restoration - what software do you use - expensive, cheap, free, all in one program, extra plugins, or several different programs.

Particularly interested in what can be done with software that doesn't cost a packet.

(LP in normal condition, playable with maybe a few scratches, pops and a little surface noise - listenable as is, but if you heard it on a CD you'd notice)
