hi guys,
my config
GIGABYTE 7VTXH+ VIA KT266 ATA 133
AMD ATHLON XP1800+
ASUS CRW 3212A CD-RW
ASUS CDS-52/A CD-ROM
NVIDIA GEFORCE MX 400 64 MB
256 MB PC2100 DDR RAM
SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200 RPM ATA IV 40 GB HDD
ASPI 4.71
NO OTHER BURNING SOFTWARE INSTALLED
NO ANTIVIRUS INSTALLED.
ULTRA DMA MODE ON ( 5 for HDD, 2 For cd-rom drives)
THE problem is
whenever i copy a cd using intermidiate image (not on- the- fly) and run a speed test before burning on NERO (5.5.9.0 - 9.9) i always find the max read speed is 22.5 - 23X wHich is slower than my cd - rw speed of 32X.( though it is not a problem 'cos of flextralink (burn-proof)).
under WINDOWS XP PRO
THOUGH THE 'TEST ALL DRIVE SPEED' GIVES NORMAL 40MB/S OUTPUT.
but where as under windows 98 or ME it's almost 120X
can u tell me whether this is a common network software problem or it's just in my system.
p.s i have also tried windows 2000 sp3 and that also gives 23X
in comaprision to 120X under windows 98 or ME
i have tried with the latest drivers aswell as windows own drivers.
plase help
thanx
