Has my hard drive gone bad?

I have two hard drives, 1 dvd and 1 cdrw drive. My hard drive on the secodary master makes a clicking noise. I restarted my computer and I enabed this S.M.A.R.T. opinion thats in the BIOS. It reported that the status was bad and I needed to replace it. I ran disk check and asked it to fix any errors ( which Ihad to restart my computer again ) and the S.M.A.R.T. reported no errors and that the status was ok. So has my hard drive gone bad?

Has it always clicked? Most HDD do make a noise although not a very loud one.
Does it still click after you repaired it?
If in doubt back up all data on the iffy HDD to cd, just in case it goes bye bye!
Better safe than sorry!;)

I don't understand your question. DVD & CDRW drives are not really hard drives. They are DVD-R drives & CD-RW drives lol. What your SMART will measure & check is for your HDD (hard disk drives).
So I would assume everything is ok.
PS
you can't scan your DVD/CDRW drives (disk check) for any errors. You can only scan if you insert a disc inside them & scan those discs, but not those drives in themselves.

I had a brand new hard drive go bad and one of the signs was the clicking (another was the fact that the computer wouldn't recognize any operating system).

If your hard drive is clicking, Western Digital recommends disconnecting the IDE cable and then restarting the computer. If the clicking continues, the problem is hardware. If it goes away, then you might have a virus or other software related problem.

If you have a Maxtor drive, the Maxdiags will give you an error code if it's bad; if it's 2 years old or less, you can call them for an RMA# and get a replacement. I did that 2 times. When a Western Digital drive went out, I fought with them for 2 months to get a replacement, but Maxtor got me one in 2 weeks.

I would back up all data to a CDr/w asap!
