Has anybody used DVDx v1.7

I have tried all version up to 1.6. Tried internal engine, tried frameserving to Panasonic encoder, tried frameserving to Tmpgenc.

All results are poor quality compared to the DVD2AVI/TMPGEnc method as listed in the Tutorials section.

These so-called all-in-one converters all try to make it easy for the beginner and forget about the quality of the end product.

I have used it, and I agree with Chickenman to a point. If you are looking for an all in one then this one is the best out right now. The quality is not great, but it seems ok. Yes the method using DVD2AVI is much better, but DVDx does do an ok job.Sometimes when I am in a hurry, and it is just to watch at work on a CDRW because I plan to write over it after the guys are done watching it, I will use this method. But if you are going to add a VCD to your collection then this is not the best way. Try it and see for yourself, it is pretty easy to use. They have a step by step on the official sight.

Hello, I'm sorry for my bad english. I used DVDx. Quality will be very good if you use the CCE pluggin for Premiere (multipass). Quality is good too for constant bitrate S/XVCD. However, DVD2SVCD provide you the best quality and easy to use. Good luck.
