Hardware error 1024

I keep getting a hardware error 1024 when I boot op my machine.

Then it jumps from 1024 to 640 X 480.

Also while typing out this it takes a while for the letters as I am typing to catch up.

Any ideas anyone

Don't know why you posted here?Sounds like a problem with your video card.

Reinstall the drivers of your videocard.....check also the max resolution that your monitor can handle with the refreshrate you use....

& also check 4 Ur monitor driver(usually on a floppy)

This will help get max out of it

& also if the Pc been moved recently, check that the graphics card is seated properly

Also have U overclocked the card?
