Hardware Doubt

hi there i have a little detailed question for all around in this magnificient forum.

i going to buy a new computer but i dont really know which one of all is the best. i've heard that P4 is the best but i was looking in this forum ( another topic ) and several of you said that AMD XP is the best and i dont really know what decision make.


i want the computer for gaming and run some big programs ( autocad 2002, COREL ) ...... but i really want that my computer respond quickly to all ....e.g. installing some game , chat , seeing a video, playing internet backgammon and 3 or 4 internet pages downloading at the same time with not a single problem or delay :D

Hope all you people can help me ....

Well,this topic always leads to debate.;) The Athlon Xp's are best bang for the buck(I'm an Intel guy).

If a P4,I would say use an 850 chipset(478 pin processor)The 423 pin processing chips are obsolete now.These (850 chipset)use Rambus(more expensive),but the best for sytem scoring(multitasking).Just my opinion.;)

Rambus is top of the range stuff for the P4 and fairly expensive DDR is good and more common also a little cheaper

My opinion if you are very wealthy, think about intel, if you are not and you want pure speed at a reasonable price then you must go AMD.

this is only my opinion but i do believe that AMD give you much more all round value for your money :) :) :) :)
