Glitches and Freezes Around Layer Break

Hi,
I have the problem that I get glitches and freezes just before and after the layer break on a brim full video DVD+R DL.

Any suggestions are welcome...
Thank you Q.M.

Reathoring / Burning procedure:
- I have a reauthored video (Lord of the Rings special extended edition) that I joined and shrinked to a full DVD+R DL.
- I used VobBlanker to split one cell exactly in the middle (sectors for both layers nearly match +- 10)
- I used PgcEdit to set the layer break and create an ISO
- I used ImgBurn to write the ISO (all programs are newest versions)
- Media: Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (book type set to DVD-ROM)
- Writer: brand new NEC ND-4570A
- ISO and burned DVD plays flawless on PC
- Glitches and freezes around layer break +- 90sec happen on 3(!) stand-alone players (2xSony 1xPioneer)

The size of the first layer must be bigger than the second and is NEVER exactly in the middle. If your using Shrink, then use it to output an ISO file, then burn that with DVD DEcrypter. You will need to set the layer break manually within DVD Decrypter.

Sorry I was not fully clear in my description

1) I have the complete video files *.vob / *.ifo etc. already on HDD (-> no AndyDVD needed). But might try DVD Decrypter...
2) For sure layer0 must be and therefore is some sectors bigger than layer1
3) Interestingly the glitches are just before and after the layer break
4) Precisely the glitches are not in the image but the video players just jump backwards some 5...10 seconds creating an infinite loop. If I jump over the glitch by remote control fast forward everythign play fine...

Thanks for any hints

then you have 2 break points set in the written dvd. As I said, run the video-ts folder through Shrink (with no compression set) to an ISO file output, as I believe it removes any Layer Break. Then burn with DVD Decrypter and manually set the point. DVD Decrypter is one of the very few burninging tools that will NOT change or add Layer Break set points in an ISO file.
