Does anyone know where I can get a updated firmware that will let me write to 8x dvd+R discs? Maybe also allow me to burn dvd-R coz I am yet to find a DVD-R disc that works.
At the moment theres no updated firmware for this drive, well from Gigabyte at least..Dont know which 8x media you have be using but try one by ritek or Taiyo Yuden. Failing all the firmware the may well be a hacked version about.
Thanx for replying RASTABT but unfortunately we don`t have alot of DVD writeable media here and only have Verbatim or Dysan. Guess I`ll just have to wait then
oh ok cool. well I finally got my hands on some other DVD-R discs and although it says only 1x it`s busy burning at 2x. Will let you know if these work. They are called Melody www.melodygroup.com
