Ghost 2003 boot CD..

You boot off the DOS Floppy run Ghost and make a backup of your Hard Drive to CDR/RW

when you get asked if you want to make the CD bootable, click yes and leave the floppy you booted Ghost off in the drive

this will become the Boot Sector of the CD

You can burn a bootable CD using Nero, add there your dos version of Ghost, and in addition, you may build an AUTOEXEC.EXE file that will run the ghost file automaticly for you, and the bootable cd is ready.

P.S.
If you make your bootable cd using floppy emulation, may happen that you already have the EXEC file on the floppy, then just add the line for booting the ghost file.

As Pokopiko stated, the ghost CD is bootable already (when you leeched the right one), and you will find the dosversion in the \toolsection

I made a Ghost 2003 boot disk with cd support. You can boot from the diskette and ghost to a cd. If you guys want it, just 1 person pm me and I'll post it here.

BTW, it requires a disk formated in DMF (1.72mb)

DMF 1.72 MB ?

rondo,

Thanks for the Norton Ghost 2003 Boot Disk.

@ Forum Members -

Perchance is anyone aware of a formatting utility program that’s capable of formatting double-sided high-density 3.5-inch 1.44MB diskettes to DMF 1.72 MB?

Thanks rondo for the North Beach proggie! :)

Just a little advice to WinXP users though. North Beach Disk Duplicator will install OK but will not run properly. It seems to not be 100% compatable (at least it didn't for me and 2 peeps a work). However, if you run the proggie in Win98/ME compatability mode (right click on NBLDD19.EXE, properties, compatability tab, and set it for Win98/ME, and will run just fine.
