Geforce FX5900XT

Amazly little lost for an Nvidia "XT" model - XT to Nvidia is what SE is to ATI - a model with cut clock speed, memory bus or both - Nvidia's 5600XT is a weakling, of a similar level to a 5200, so it's amazing how little test score the 5900XT loses.

Not sure that would work with the XT, in fact, it would probably be MOST unwise, as the XT is a lower version.

Indeed I've seen the same claims, but the bech-tests were poorer than when it was overclocked.

Strange that the XT models are dearer than the standard 5900, indeed recently I had to return a 5900 because it went bad, they replaced it with the more expensive XT as the other was out of stock and the results using 3Dmark 2003 was about 100 less with the XT.

Nvidia: XT = lower, ATI: XT = Higher - is that another dirty trick by Nvidia, sowing confusion ... I'm pretty sure ATI were first to use the XT tag for faster models.

If an Nvidia XT was more expensive than a non-XT (unless it had more RAM, or was a better make), then there is something seriously wrong!
