Funny Problem with AVI file?

I got an xvid avi i want to convert to dvd. I haven't have any troble converting xvid avi file or any file to dvd format before this. I tryed to play the file in WMP 9 but I got an error that WMP had to shut sown becuase of errors. The info from GSpot is as follows:

i don't know, but the file is encoded as XVID. I havn't had any trobles playing Xvid movies in Windows Media Player until now, unles i didn't have the codec and I do. I even iggnored the error of playback and tryed to convert it to dvd, but to now evail.

well i got it working i guees i was missing a file b/c when i went to decoder settings in xvid i got an error that an ax file was missing. I just unistalled the old Xvid and got the lates vertion and now all is good. Thx foe your help.
