Media, speed it was burned at. Use a program like DVD Identifier to see who makes the media. I'll bet its cheap media.
no it does not matter if you use all the disk it should still play fine
usually i make a dual disk if it looks like its not going to fill much of the disk with one film i will make a 2 movie dvd

Hi m8,
using mainconcept,tmpgenc,tmpgnc dvd author...
its movies i've d.loaded which are in mpg then i convert to dvd,when converted to pal the file is much bigger to fit into disk,so annoying after waiting for it to encode,someone mentioned a bit rate calulator but hard to work out when there is two or three files,would files work better if i use all the disk as possible seems such a waste not to use it all....
