from divx do dvd

I have some videos in Divx format in my hardware and cannot read this format with my dvd player. Therefore i would like to transfer them to MPEG4 (?) and then create a dvd but would like to avoid TMPGenc and then Nero because the process is too long (7-8 hours!!!). Do you know if it is possible to perform the entire process ( divx to MPEG4 and then burn) through another program? I have Nero 6.3 and easy cd and dvd creator and it seems that they are faster than TMPGenc but I am not able to use them.
In summary I am looking for a way to convert and burn faster than TMPGenc and then Nero, possibly maintaining the overall quality.

@vernon as CELTIC suggests check the tutorials in our DVD section.... note i have removed your other 2 posts on this subject as they are much the same question as this one but in different locations of the forum :(
