im doing a vcd that requires a 90min cd. Im using various programs to create the vcd but none of them allows for large discs, all are fixed at 700mb. Is nero overburning the only way? how do i get the vcd menus over to nero?

Nero, Discjuggler, Burnatonce, RecordNowMax, Instant CD/DVD etc. etc.etc. will all allow you burning 90 minute CD's. Overburning must be enabled, disk-at-once picked as burning mode, and otionally buffer underrun disabled, if feasible.
Best VCD builder out there is comfortably VCDEasy. You can burn the bin/cue image with VCDeasy itself, or any program supporting the format.

I believe .ixa is usable only by Ulead programs, and nothing else than them.
If your Ulead programs don't allow you to overburn, then you have to rebuild the CD.

ive extracted the .ixa file into its vcd format. i can copy over the video files to nero & have created the vcd which works.
However, the menus havent worked. I cant see which are the menu files to copy into nero, it wont allow me to copy any files into the vcd directories.

im stuck again. it seems very crap to have built-in cd limits??? why doesnt it just analyst the whole disc?

Sorry, but i don't use Nero for making VCD's- I never did. The Nero VCD module has been bugs galore since day one, and the quality of the Nero VCD encoder is not good even for webcam shots...

no i use other progs to encode. nero is just for burning. this all wouldnt be a problem if they recognised large discs
ive now got an iso image, im supposed to just burn this image & it would work as a vcd but it doesnt. what nero settings do i need?

Of course it won't work... ISO images always have one track with datastream at mode1/ 2048 bytes per sector, while Video CD's always have TWO tracks (one data, one video- normally the sectorsize does not follow the book standards, but still the disks work).
What did you get after extracting the Ulead imagefile?

basically an .ixa image is just a vcd image it copies to the hd if you dont burn to disc. when using isobuster it views the image as a std vcd format ie mpegav,segment,vcd.etc.

So really all i want to do is transfer this 'vcd' image into nero so i can burn it. what other programs are there that will accept me just drag'n'dropping these vcd folders & burning video & menus into a vcd???
