Firmware Help for Pioneer DVD-R 104 plz!!!

I just received my DVD-R today and it came with firmware version 1.30 and is currently region locked at the mo.

On the DVD Digest website there is a region free firmware that upgrades the version i've got v1.30 to 2.02 (region-free)!

Anybody used this new firmware yet?

any improvements - better dvd-r media compatibility, etc ?

I think if you do a little further investigation,
you will find that firmware version 2.02 is for the DVD-104/A04 which is a DVD-ROM (Player).

The latest firmware for the DVD-R-104/A04 (Writer) is version 1.30.

I hope this helps you in avoiding a disaster with your new writer
