Your problem may have cropped up before.
Finally a tip re viewing the Forums
When you are in a particular forum if you cant see what you want use
the display options box at the bottom of the page to view more threads.
THe firmware 2.1a if it is later than the one U want to go back to will contain the old firmwares properties,
What media are they & where did u get the info to go back
PS that burner (which I have) is notoriously picky with media!

However, I don't believe this will solve your media problem, DRU-500 is picky with some media no matter which firmware υou use.
Myself using the hacked self-resetting 2.1A one from the Dangerous Brothers.
